TagDJ ("we", "our", "us") is a Shopify application that helps merchants optimize their product descriptions and metafields using artificial intelligence. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our application.

2.1 Shop Data

When you install TagDJ, we access and store the following shop-level data:

• Shop domain and Shopify session information
• Product titles, descriptions, images, tags, and metafields
• Product category and taxonomy information

2.2 What We Do NOT Collect

TagDJ does not collect or store:

• Customer personal data (names, emails, addresses, phone numbers)
• Order or transaction data
• Payment or financial information
• Customer browsing or behavioral data

3. How We Use Your Data

• Generate and optimize product descriptions using AI
• Extract and populate product metafields from descriptions
• Track credit usage and billing for our service
• Maintain audit logs for security and compliance

4. Third-Party Services

We use Google Gemini AI to process product descriptions and images. Product data (titles, descriptions, images) is sent to Google's API for AI processing. Google's privacy policy applies to their handling of this data.

5. Data Retention

We retain shop data for as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall TagDJ, we delete your session data immediately. Within 48 hours of receiving Shopify's shop/redact webhook, we permanently delete all remaining shop data from our systems.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure session management, input validation, and rate limiting to protect your data.

7. GDPR Compliance

We comply with GDPR and respond to all data subject requests within 30 days. Since we do not store customer personal data, most data requests are acknowledged without action required. For shop data deletion requests, we permanently erase all data associated with the shop.

You have the right to:

• Request access to your data
• Request deletion of your data
• Uninstall the app at any time, which triggers data cleanup
